1. Who we are
Ayansa Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at ayansastudio.shop and ayansastudio.xyz. We are the data controller of any personal information you share with us.
2. What we collect
We collect information in three ways:
Information you give us
- Account details — name, email, phone number, password (hashed).
- Order & booking details — shipping address, billing address, item selections, workshop preferences.
- Messages — anything you send through the contact, commission, or waitlist forms.
Information we receive from payments
- Payment confirmations, last 4 digits of the card, and transaction IDs from Razorpay/Stripe. We do not receive or store full card numbers or CVVs.
Information collected automatically
- Basic analytics — pages viewed, device type, rough location (country / city), referrer — collected via Vercel Analytics and any privacy- respecting analytics provider we use.
- Cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember your cart.
3. How we use it
- To fulfil your orders and workshop bookings.
- To send transactional emails (order confirmations, booking reminders, shipment updates).
- To respond to your messages and commission enquiries.
- To improve the Site — understand what's working and what's not through aggregated analytics.
- To send you occasional updates about new workshops or product drops — only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us run the Site:
- Payment processors — Razorpay and (where used) Stripe.
- Hosting & infrastructure — Vercel, Neon (PostgreSQL).
- Email — Resend, for transactional emails.
- Shipping partners — India-based couriers when we ship your order.
We never sell or rent your personal data. We may disclose information if required to by law or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and staff.
5. Cookies
We use cookies for three purposes:
- Essential — to keep you signed in and to remember your cart.
- Preferences — to remember things like your preferred calendar view.
- Analytics — anonymised usage data to help us improve the Site.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the Site may stop working as expected.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and order data for as long as you have an active account with us, and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet our legal and accounting obligations (typically up to 8 years for tax records, per Indian law). Marketing subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it if it's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data (subject to legal retention periods).
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails.

8. Children
The Site is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use HTTPS end-to-end, bcrypt-hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take your data seriously and act quickly if something goes wrong.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
